Welcome letter from Stella
As many of you know my love language is acts of service…Anyone that has even known me, nobody ever, goes hungry around me. I love to cook for the ones I care about and love. It brings happiness to my heart to be able to see them eating, their belly full and love in my heart. For those of you who don’t know me, I’ve struggled medically for a few years and over the last 2 years it has progressed to the point my stomach isn’t absorbing any nutrients. There’s been times where I’ve had to have multiple infusions every week and bloodwork has continued to show zero absorption. After multiple surgeries with intestinal issues and having several feet removed, multiple hernia surgeries and repairs to where I have very little stomach left. I kept hearing everyone talk about sourdough, how healthy it is for you and decided to start my own research. Learning the facts and benefits, the probiotic it provides for gut health as well as absolutely zero sugar going into it, to comparing the labels on the back of the bread on the shelves to this 4 ingredient bread it blew my mind. I received a starter from an amazing friend Heidi. My journey with Layla began. 1 loaf at a time. Within 24 hours, being in my happy place in my kitchen, I was putting my love into my loafs.  I was always taught not to focus on the problems, put my energy into solutions. For the first time in a very long time my blood levels are up! Im starting to absorb some nutrients! And I want to be able to help others!  I am a single mother and stay busy so I can provide for my children and the ones that I love, this is by far not a get rich job simply a passion of doing what I love and loving what I do. Feeding the ones I care about and spreading my love one loaf at a time. 🍞
